It’s totally normal to be a little nervous when booking a photo session. If you're like me, it helps to know what to expect in advance. Here’s a summary of the process, and highlights about each step.
1. Clear communication to book services: From the very the beginning of the project, our goal is to communicate clearly with our clients. My team and I try to respond quickly to answer question e-mails. We will steer you toward pricing and packages listed on my website, and several blog posts that have tips about how to prepare for your session.
2. Transparent process: I have a clear process to book, shoot a session and deliver images. After shooting professional portraits for almost 10 years, and I have a streamlined process from first point of contact to final image delivery.

3. A positive and encouraging presence during your session: When you arrive at my studio, I’ll have lights set up and ready to shoot. I’ll help you get into the studio with your clothing and props, then invite you to settle into the space. We can chat about clothing options. We’ll take one or two test images and then I will coach you as we move through some poses and expressions. I will help with small details like hair and jewelry placement or maybe a little matte powder. We will review images on my laptop, making adjustments and changes as we go.
4. Quick turn around of proofs: Depending on the deadline for your photos, we can review and choose favorite images in the studio, or I can send a gallery of proofs the same day as your session.
5. Timely delivery of retouched photos: I have worked with the same retoucher for several years. She’s wonderful with subtle, natural Photoshop work that does not look too heavy-handed. Our aim is to help you look like the most well rested, authentic version of yourself. We can usually have the retouched photos delivered via online gallery within 2-3 days after you have picked favorite images.
I hope that my clients feel cared for throughout the duration of the time we work together. Having a clear and repeatable process is one of the ways I have helped hundreds of Atlantans with portraits to support their businesses and careers.
