Finding someone with a great portfolio is an important first step in hiring a photographer for your team photos. But, there's a less obvious reason for hiring a headshot specialized photographer: they’ll use a system for completing and delivering the photos in a timely way. An experienced headshot photographer will have hardware and software to make the headshot day go smoothly and get the photos delivered quickly. Here's a brief description of our studio's system for team headshots:

1. Scheduling link- Our studio will create a link for your team to sign up for session that works with their schedule. We've found that five minutes per person works well to try some different expressions and poses. The scheduling link will send them reminders and a calendar invite with the specific location for the headshots.

2. Tips- "What should I wear?" is one of the most frequently asked questions about headshot sessions. Along with the scheduling link, we'll send a concise blog post with a list of tips for wardrobe, skin care and other helpful information.

3. Proof galleries- This is where our systems really shine. After we've taken 6-8 photos of one of your team with a few different angles, we will immediately send a proof gallery directly to their email address. The link will arrive in their inbox before they have walked back to their desk. We usually give everyone a deadline to pick their favorite image by 8 a.m. the next morning.

4. Retouching- After each member of your team has selected a favorite photo, the images are sent to our retoucher. She will fix fly away hair, remove blemishes, lightly smooth skin and subtly touch up under everyone's eyes. This process is usually finished a few days after the photo session.

5. Delivery/distribution- This is another big win for our software. The distribution of the images will go out two ways. 

1. Your company administrator will receive a link to download all of the favorite images so they can put the images on a server for safe keeping. 

2. In addition, each subject will receive an email with instructions to download their retouched photo.
